Concept and design
Puckat Bar och Burgare is a restaurant concept developed in spring 2018.
The local Hockey club in Karlskrona, KHK, asked the company I was working for if we wanted to help them re-do their cafeteria. They wanted something new that could bring new people and target groups to the arena to enjoy the hockey game, even if you are not that into hockey.
We accepted the challenge, and me and my colleague Urban became the two people in charge of the whole concept and design.
Together we co-worked and planned everything from carpenter, interior design to brand design and print.
I designed and produced originals for the logo, clothes, menus, ads, signs and web.
Colors and fonts
We wanted a color that worked well with a dark base, therefore the green as a primary color.
The purple became obvious as a secondary color when the purple mouth (the centerpiece of the restaurant) became a graphical element to Puckat.
Logotype
A bold logotype that works well both digital and on print as well as t-shirts, hats, ads and as a sign.
The leaning box became a graphical element for Puckat. Used for ex. different signs inside the restaurant (toilets, trash etc.)
Website
We wanted a simple website for the concept.
I designed the website and put it together in a CMS called Wix
The restaurant
One of the challenges was that the place of the restaurant could not be locked during the days. Therefore we decided to build seating areas of OSB-wood where we placed charges and power outlets for kids and parents to use the room as a "chill-area" during the days.
