Client problem:
Brand a mobile unit for IKEA Food to attract a younger audience.

 

User problem:

Young people don’t eat traditional Swedish food very often. People are eager to cook food from other cuisines


Solution:
IKEA Meet and Eat is a native app that enables people to hosta restaurant where people can meet, exchange ideas and share their food.temporary

Create an account with your email or sign in with your facebook account.

A picnic in the park or a homey dinner party - a temporary restaurant where people can meet, exchange ideas and share their food is now available.

Attend or host event

The host chooses the number of people they want to invite and provide a menu and an optional charge for the event in the event description.

The guests notify the host using the service and also pay the cover fee through the app.

Share with the world

Share your best recipes or post on social media with the hashtag #meetandeat to show that you are a part of the new age of food.

The cookbook of the many people

We also wanted IKEA Food to take the users’ recipes and compile them in a book - The Cookbook of the many people. 
A cookbook that consist of photos and recipes taken directly from IKEA’s customers. No fancy studio photos or master chef recipes, just authentic food from the many people.
